Calling your own Insurance Adjuster is the right thing to do but you might not want to speak with the opposing party’s insurance agent.

My recommendation is that always call your own Insurance Adjuster. You have a duty to let your Insurance Company know if you’ve been on an accident whether or not its your fault. Even if it’s the other person’s fault, go ahead and notify your Insurance Adjuster. Now should you speak to the Insurance Adjuster for the person that hit you, my recommendation is to not speak to them. It’s to hire an experienced law firm as quickly and as early on a process. As possible, we can then represent your interest in that case and determine whether or not a conversation is to be taken place with the adjuster. But there’s a risk involved with speaking to the Insurance Adjuster to the other side if you do not have an experienced Personal Injury Law Firm on your side.
